For our location in Putten, we are looking for a Finance Controller who will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial health of the organization. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for various financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of financial principles and regulations, strong analytical skills, project management and effective communication.

What is the position about?

As a Financial Controller, you will take the lead in ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately and timely recorded in our systems. You will oversee the financial operations and provide in-depth analysis of procurement & operational activities, playing a critical role in delivering reliable reporting, insightful data analysis, and budget support to enable informed business decisions.

You will also contribute to special projects and the ongoing development and optimization of financial processes, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance frameworks. A key part of your role involves close collaboration with the Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) to ensure seamless and compliant financial reporting.

Beyond your day-to-day responsibilities, you will have opportunities to engage with the broader finance community across the Business Unit Europe and Central Asia, sharing knowledge and driving continuous improvement.

About The Role

Responsibilities


Financial Controlling, Reporting & Analysis:

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and IFRS.

  • Analyse financial data and provide actionable insights recommendations to management.

  • Calculate and validate inventory and purchase costs in close collaboration with Procurement

  • Prepare and analyse supplier rebates calculations.

  • Oversee supplier payments and manage foreign exchange exposures risks.

  • Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) accounting and control.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

  • Support cost control and optimisation initiatives.

  • Monitor and maintain internal control framework to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

  • Prepare for and support external audits and regulatory reviews.

Process improvements and optimization:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and data accuracy.

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and contribute to financial best practices across the organization.

  • Participate in special financial projects (e.g., budgeting, compliance, system improvements).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA or relevant certification is a plus.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in financial management, accounting, or related roles, with a track record of increasing responsibility.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial reporting

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial management software, and ERP systems (Unite4Cloud, Power BI, OneStream).

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Excellent command of the English language in word and writing, Dutch is also preferred but not required. French is a plus.
