Welcome to the cutting edge of agricultural technology at Nutreco Digital. Its Global Solutions & Services (GSS) team connects digital innovation with scientific breakthrough in animal feed. We have created a powerful portfolio of digital services that enables farmers to review data around their animal health – all with a few clicks. From dairy cows to swine and poultry, we are helping agriculture unlock its full potential – one intelligent digital solution at a time. As part of Nutreco Digital, the scope is even broader with aquaculture as well. 

Not only do we develop user-friendly apps and dashboards that provide a wide range of actionable insights — we also empower farmers to create digital replicas of their farms, barns and ponds. Our digital services offer tailored advice on optimal recipe formulations for animal feed. This gives our customers greater autonomy, which makes delivering an outstanding user experience all the more essential. 

As we continue to enhance our existing products and expand our global portfolio of digital services, we are seeking a talented User Experience/User Interface Specialist to join our team. With your expertise in designing tools and laying out user experience strategies by conducting interviews and analysis of user behaviour and needs, you will enhance the customer journey, apply your skills in tangible end-to-end projects and in the end make our users happy customers. 

About the Role:  

Responsibilities:  

• Conduct in-depth user research with various teams specialized in diverse fields, including researchers, sales representatives, and the digital services team.  

• Be the voice of our industry users, including animal nutritionists, farmers, and business owners. 

• Collaborate with developers to ensure feasibility of designs and maintain design consistency across digital products. 

• Interactions with industry users (e.g. nutritionists, formulators, farmers, QA/QC, business owners) in the full cycle of digital product development.  

• Map out the different user personas and anticipate their interactions with your designs. 

• Evaluate user behaviour and usability challenges in our applications. 

• Design and implement intuitive, user-friendly interfaces. 

• Support other team members with UX/UI-related requests and enhancements. 

• Design of data-intensive applications.

• Presenting/defending design decisions to a broad audience.

Skills and Expertise: 

Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field. 

• Proven track record in UX and UI design for data-driven applications, preferably on both mobile and desktop. 

• Experience in Agile development methodologies. 

• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch. 

• Please provide a portfolio (any format) as part of your application.
