What you'll do

The General Manager (GM) is fully P&L responsible for Skretting China. The role's main responsibility is to implement and execute Skretting's divisional strategy and to deliver the agreed upon targets in terms of financials, people and business growth. The GM will lead the Skretting China management team and is responsible for the OpCo's adheres to Skretting's values and standards. The GM will need to develop close professional relationships with senior decision makers at customers, prospects and partners and needs to maintain a deep understanding of local market needs and opportunities. (S)he coordinates and improves key business processes. The GM is the figurehead in leading the pursuit of growth in the Chinese market.

Strategy Execution

• Contributes to the definition of the divisional species/product strategy; ensures the OpCo strategy is geared towards the Divisional strategy, and realises the implementation and execution of the OpCo strategy by validating and coordinating the year plan(s) and budget(s) for the key areas of Skretting China — ensuring optimum planning, organisation and execution of all activities to deliver the OpCo's budget, KPIs, and business growth targets.

Marketing, Sales & Business Development

• Defines, within the framework of the divisional strategy, the commercial strategy and go-to-market plans for Skretting China, in order to boost sales, expand market share and profitability, and further develop the client-, product- and services-base through domestic and international initiatives, based on local customer and market insights. Champions excellence in key account management, actively managing Skretting China's main accounts.
• Drives business development initiatives, in line with the Divisional strategy, actively pursuing business opportunities and using the knowledge base, innovative power and added value of the Nutreco network.
• Develops partnerships with potential technology partners, toll-millers and/or acquisition targets.
• Develops and maintains close professional relationships with senior decision makers at customers, prospects and partners.

Budget Control

• Controls the budget(s) of Skretting China, takes corrective actions when necessary, and ensures adequate reporting within corporate guidelines, in order to ensure full insight into the status and development of the OpCo's (financial) performance.

Logistics & Supply Chain

• Coordinates procurement of raw materials and freight, together with the team and with help of Divisional and Global resources; ensures that supply chain and production schedules are designed and executed in line with the production plans set at divisional level, in order to produce the right products at the right amounts at the right time. Coordinates the proper execution of orders and goods flows, in line with business year planning, to ensure timely delivery of specified products to customers.

Operations

• Ensures the optimal running of the production processes at current and future plants / production lines by organising a streamlined production process; develops and realises maintenance plans in order to maintain optimal quality and availability of the production assets, and drives the development and execution of continuous optimisation of the production processes.

People Development and Coaching

• Organises, leads and develops the OpCo leadership team and staff in line with corporate guidelines and values, in order to attract and retain all talent and resources needed to meet current and future business challenges — contributing to the optimisation of business results and to maintaining and growing Nutreco's talent base.

HSEQ & Food/Feed Safety

• Enforces full compliance with all statutory regulations, policies and procedures in the area of health, safety, environment and quality, in order to ensure a safe and healthy working environment with a minimal footprint on its environment.
• Coordinates the implementation of food/feed safety, consistent with corporate and legal requirements in countries of production and of consumption, in order to produce healthy and nutritious food/feed for human/animal consumption.

Ethics & Compliance

• Ensures full adherence to the SHV and Nutreco Values, Code of Ethics and all related policies and procedures included in the Policy House of Nutreco, in all activities performed by or on behalf of Skretting China.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Master's degree with 15 years' relevant experience.
• Proven general management / P&L leadership experience, ideally within aquaculture, animal nutrition, or adjacent industries.
• Strong financial acumen and budget control experience across multi-site operations.
• Local OpCo (Skretting China) with multiple sites and incidental M&A involvement.
• Oversees daily operational management while actively implementing business strategy across a multi-site, contractor-inclusive workforce.
