Position: Business Excellence Lead

Business line: Aquaculture nutrition

Location: Duran, Ecuador

Working Day: lunes a viernes

¿What will you do?

Reporting to the Strategic Planning Skt Latam Director, will enhances business performance by standardizing & optimizing processes, increasing efficiency, and fostering a culture of quality and innovation.

Main responsibilities:

  • Coach, train and apply Strategic Plan Process based on Hoshin Kanri methodology or similar frameworks.
  • Identify, scope, and define high-impact improvement opportunities across business processes through Kaizen Blitz, Kaizen Events , VSM Mappings, others.
  • Coach, train and apply IPA Process (Identify, prioritize and assign resources) for quick wins , just do it and transformational projects based on Waterfall, Agile, Lean Six Sigma and others.
  • Expert in performance management cycle to measure key business metrics (Scorecards) and take actionable plans to address deviations.  It includes cascading measures taking as an input the strategic plan until the last performance review (Tier 1-5).  Ensure bi-directional communication through the tiers of performance review meetings.
  • Diagnose root cause problems or deviations for inefficiencies and bottlenecks across the company applying advanced statistical analysis (e.g. Minitab, Python for statistics, others) and problem-solving techniques.
  • Coach and train in PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) and SDCA (Standardize- Do-Check-Act) cycle: Establish a continuous improvement process to achieve the targets established for the business outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance, process harmonization & standardization (e.g. BPMN, VSM, standard work, SOPs development) and automation where applicable alongside with IT department. 
  • Hands on experience in technological implementations and strong knowledge in no/low code tools (e.g. power apps, power automate).
  • Design and implement process improvements using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile.
  • Build internal capabilities to sustain excellence through coaching and workshops using competence matrix and development a competence building plan (CBP).
  • Lead standardization of improvement initiatives to gain business agility and effectiveness. Develop and implement solutions that streamline processes and enhance their integration with existing and new digital solutions.
  • Data driven and financial & business background to quantify initiative in financial and productivity terms. Hands on experience in financial and business departments within the industry is a plus.

¿Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a professional with strong, inspiring, analytical and strategic leadership skills, with experience in process optimization, project management, sales/marketing data analysis (CRM, KPIs), and the ability to coordinate initiatives that drive growth and efficiency, connecting strategy with field execution.

You will also need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Industrial engineering, business administration or related fields with specialization on Business Intelligence and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in continuous improvement initiatives, business intelligence and strategy process.
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement strategic planning process, improve project management processes and standards.
  • Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and facilitating effective communication.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the industry and preferable hands- on experience in financial and commercial areas. Focus on business driven.
  • Good Knowledge of financial analysis (e.g. TIR, VAN , Payback) and business case creation.
  • Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking: Exceptional ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective, data-driven solutions. Lean Leader, LSS Green Belt /Systems Thinking.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with experience leveraging data from digital systems. Strong knowledge in data base and BI tools (e.g. Advanced Excel, Power BI). Knowledge of process mapping, BPMN, value stream mapping (VSM), and lean principles.
  • Familiarity with digital technologies and their application in process optimization.
  • Drive for Results: Strong focus on achieving measurable outcomes and delivering tangible improvements.
  • Leadership & Influence: Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive change without direct authority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Planner, list etc.), power apps + automate and co-pilot and BPMN software.
  • Language: Fluent in Spanish and English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
