Operational Excellence Leader

Our team has been on the path of continuous improvement for a number of years.  We find ourselves in need of higher expertise in identifying and evaluating opportunities.  As Operational Excellence Leader you will support the Production, Logistics and Maintenance Managers with developing and implementing a Nutreco LEAN Operations Continuous Improvement / Performance Program. In addition, you will actively participate (Lead) in Operations Teams & Networks to ensure that the program and best practices will be implemented and embedded in a learning organization. As part of the Program, Toolboxes, Standards and Best Practices will be developed and a Leading KPI system will be implemented to give guidance and the ability to achieve tangible results. Operational Excellence is one of the 3 pillars of the Ambition 2025 strategy roadmap.

• The person in this role will support:
  • Developing and implementing the Nutreco Global Operations Performance Program including
    • Pillars and basics (like 5S, KPIs implementation, Root cause and corrective action methodologies…)
    • Performance Pillars like TPM, Process Control, Value Stream Mapping or cycle time optimization.
• Develop the Performance Management Process including KPIs, benchmarking and Best Practice implementation
• Support local business for areas of improvement to deliver business results and improvement.
• Developing all Operations people in the field of Operations Excellence through Academies, training, workshops, e-learning
• Develop operational Excellence Culture and skills across the organization
• Develop the understanding and necessary engagement of stakeholders outside of Operations  (sales, Finance…)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develop and implement the Nutreco LEAN Operations Performance Program and translate this into local implementation for Micronutrients.
• Active contribution and joint responsibility for the Productivity Operational Roadmap.
• Implementation of Lean manufacturing program “My Workplace’’ foundations
• Leader of our opportunity assessment efforts.
• Bring operation challenges to the surface by effectively implementing the Opportunity Assessment Methodology Program and establishing Operations Teams and Networks.
• Support our managers to establish a culture of leading and collaboration and thereby focus on improving KPI performance and solving problems sustainably.
• Other duties as required
